OHIP covers a comprehensive eye exam for many Ontario residents. You are generally eligible for an OHIP-insured exam if you are:
Children and youth aged 19 and under are covered for a routine eye exam once a year.
Seniors aged 65 and older are covered for a routine eye exam.
Patients with certain conditions (such as diabetes, glaucoma or cataracts) may be covered for medically necessary exams.
Where your plan allows, we bill your vision and health insurance directly, so you pay less out of pocket and skip the paperwork. We work with many of Canada's major benefits providers.
